Yolanda Cumbess

Yolanda Cumbess was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Jesse H. Jones Senior High School with honors. Yolanda is a talented athlete and was a record-setting member of the Texas Tech University Women’s Volleyball Team.  Yolanda earned a BS in Industrial Engineering and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law.  Yolanda is now a licensed attorney, a member of the State Bar of Georgia and The District of Columbia Barand works as a Primary Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Virginia.

Yolanda obtained a ministry license in 2017 through the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assembly, Inc. Yolanda is an author, and speaker, and enjoys serving in various church ministries, community outreach activities, and sings in the choir.As an over-comer, Yolanda is passionate about motivating others and ministering to the needs of women and children who have been marginalized and abused. In 2015, Yolanda received special recognition from the City Council of Baltimore as a contributing author of Life Happens But You Can Finish, The Trials, Triumphs, and Truths of 12 Amazing Finishers.
